In short
Stop level with the kerb, observe, reverse straight until your rear wheel reaches the curve in the kerb, full lock toward the kerb, watch the nearside mirror to keep the kerb at the same distance, straighten as the curve ends.

Setup
Pull up parallel to the kerb, well before the corner. Engage reverse, full observations, then begin reversing at walking pace.
The turn
Watch the kerb in your left wing mirror. When the kerb starts to curve, full lock left. As the kerb straightens in your mirror, straighten the wheel. Continue reversing to a controlled stop.
Observation
Side road observation matters most. Examiners want to see you check over both shoulders during the turn, not just rely on mirrors.
