The US road test is the in-car portion of the driver-licence exam. Each state's DMV (or equivalent) sets the syllabus, fees, and pass standards — there is no single national format.

Most road tests run 15–20 minutes and include observation, parking, three-point turns, and basic road law. Specific manoeuvres vary by state — California, for example, requires a parallel park while Texas does not.
