In short
A junction marked with broken white lines and a 'Give Way' sign; stop only if traffic is coming.
A give-way junction is marked by broken white lines across the road and a triangular 'Give Way' sign on approach. You do not have to stop if the road is clear — but you must yield to any traffic on the major road.
A common test fault is treating give-way like a full stop on an empty road (progress fault) or rolling out into a closing gap (judgement fault).
