In short
Driving Routes appears on your car's CarPlay screen as soon as the iOS app is installed and your iPhone is connected. Pick a route, hear voice guidance through the car speakers, see the route on the dashboard. CarPlay is included on every paid plan.
Why CarPlay matters for learner drivers
Looking at a phone in a dashboard mount is a habit examiners actively mark down. CarPlay keeps your eyes on the road and the screen at dashboard level — exactly where a sat-nav would be on test day.
Setup, step by step
- Install the Driving Routes iOS app.
- Connect your iPhone to your car — Lightning cable, or pair wirelessly if your car supports it.
- Driving Routes appears on the CarPlay home screen automatically.
- Tap to open. Pick a saved route. Voice guidance starts.
Troubleshooting
If Driving Routes doesn't appear on CarPlay, check Settings → General → CarPlay → [your car] → Customize, and confirm the app is in the visible list. If it isn't there at all, reinstall the iOS app and reconnect to the car.
